As our company continues to expand due to increasing demand, we are seeking an experienced Welder/Boilermaker to craft high-quality fabricated steel and aluminium gates. About the Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Welder/Boilermaker within our business is to ensure that the supplied plans are translated into high-quality gates that you, our company and our customers are proud of. You will lead by example and work closely with a small, energetic team. You will have a high regard for the company’s WH&S requirements as well as bringing your own flair for organising and maintaining your work environment to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- In consultation with the Operations Manager and Warehouse staff, you will need to maintain sufficient materials and equipment on hand to enable prompt turn-around of each job.
- Ensure the workshop layout is optimised to support the safe and efficient flow of materials-in and finished product-out.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company’s health & safety requirements, environmental regulations and relevant state and territory laws.
Qualifications
- Qualified trades-person – Boilermaker or Welder/Fabricator
- Minimum 5 years post-trade fabrication experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
- Current Driver's License (occasional driving duties may be required)
- Construction industry White Card
- Asbestos Awareness Card
- Forklift License (desirable but not essential)
