Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks based on engineering drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality construction of kiosk substations and switchrooms.
- Utilize various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) to achieve strong and durable welds.
- Conduct inspections of welds to ensure conformance with national codes and company standards.
- Work closely with the mechanical supervisor and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, suggesting ways to improve welding processes and techniques.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and available for use.
- 3+ years of experience as a welder, with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
