We have recently partnered with an esteemed company based in Tomago NSW, specializing in providing engineering services to the manufacturing, mining and heavy industry. We're looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join the team and play a vital role in bringing our projects to life.
Responsibilities:- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Operating a variety of metalworking machinery with precision, including saws, brakes, shears, and presses.
- Mastering MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques to create strong, long-lasting welds on various metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Performing meticulous fit-up and tack welding to ensure proper alignment before final welds.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Troubleshooting welding issues and identifying solutions to minimize delays and maintain quality.
- Staying current on the latest advancements in welding technologies and equipment maintenance practices.
- Preferably holds a valid Australian Welding or Fabrication Certificate (e.g., Certificate III in Fabrication Trade).
- Possesses a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar industrial workshop environment.
- Demonstrates a mastery of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Has a proven track record of working with precision on large and complex machinery components.
- Maintains a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to achieving the highest quality standards.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Is a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Understands and adheres to all safety regulations and best practices.
