About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Wholesale Energy Analyst to join our Wholesale and Commercial Energy team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating transfer pricing, load forecasting, Wholesale Energy market analysis and reporting, supporting decision making and delivery of the Wholesale Energy team’s strategic objectives.
You will manage relationships between Energy Trading and Retail Sales teams to balance energy market risks with the provision of competitive transfer pricing for Aurora’s Customers whilst continuously improving the effectiveness of load and financial forecasting through the development of new forecasting methodologies.
About You
You’ll have competency in quantitative analysis, statistics and forecasting, mathematical programming skills and a detailed understanding of financial markets. With your high level of commercial acumen, you’ll also be able to effectively communicate your analysis to various stakeholders within the business and your strong commitment to continuous improvement will see you drive by opportunities to grow and develop, seek feedback and be curious to learn. Understanding of Energy Trading in the National Energy Market is desirable.
