WHS and Quality Co-Ordinator

Matrix Traffic and Transport Data specialises in traffic surveys, research, data collection and information analysis within the traffic and transport field. 

The objective of Matrix is to provide quality traffic survey information and advice for the public, private and business sectors. Traffic surveys include pedestrian counts, speed surveys, parking surveys, intersection counters and automatic traffic counters.

Due to ongoing growth, Matrix has a new opportunity for a part-time Management Systems Advisor to join our team. the subject matter expert, you will develop, implement, and continually improve the management systems to ensure their alignment to ISO 9001 and 45001. This role will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to ensure Matrix’s systems and processes are efficient, effective and deliver value. 

The role

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain documented information to support effective implementation of WHS and Quality systems and to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
• Champion a safety and Quality culture, promoting compliance, completing audits and proactively seeking solutions.
• Preparation for ISO audits
• Conduct internal and external audits and keep the audit schedules up to date.
• Monitor quality performance of business functions including reporting of nonconformities, root cause analyses and corrective actions, and undertake post-implementation effectiveness reviews.
• Oversee significant incident investigations, help develop robust corrective action plans, and monitor their effective implementation to prevent recurrence.

About you

You will have effective communication, coordination, and collaboration skills to facilitate the successful delivery of external assurance such as regulatory compliance reviews and certification audits.  You will have strong technical writing, document control, analysis and presentation capabilities.  Additional requirements are:

• Preferred experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
