About the role: 

With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking a WHSEQ Advisor to join our Civil & Infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the WHSEQ Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide operational team assistance in the implementation of safety policies and processes at the project level and drive and monitor compliance to the Company’s Business Management Systems across a project.

This will include to: 

  • Assist in the development and review of Project Risk Assessment Register(s)
  • Train operational teams in the tools and functions of the Safety 
  • Assist Project Teams in the effective implementation of the Safety Certainty 2.0 Program on site(s)
  • Assist Project Teams in the use of the Serious Injury, Fatality, and Environmental Risks (SIFER) tools to ensure KPI expectations are met
  • Monitor workforce Induction and training compliance
  • Attend daily prestart meetings and provide WHSEQ input applicable to the works
  • Assist the Project Team in the subcontractor onboarding processes
  • Assist the Project Team(s) in the development of SWMSs and JSEAs
  • Complete incident investigations in a timely manner and submit to the Senior WHSEQ Advisor for review
  • Conduct Drug (indicative) and Alcohol testing as defined by Company Standards
  • Assist in the facilitation of Union and Regulator visits with regards to safety matters on sites

About you: 

To be successful in the role, you will need: 

  • Certificate IV in WHS
  • Ability to obtain ADF DCAC & Police Check
  • Construction White Card and Current driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment
  • First Aid qualification
  • ICAM Investigation Training (desirable)
  • Audit qualifications (desirable)
