- Unique, outdoor environment working with a variety of Australian native animals
- Casual Opportunity!
Dreamworld is one of the largest native wildlife parks in Southeast Queensland with 100’s of native animals including one of the largest koala populations.
The primary responsibility of a Wildlife Attendant is to care for and maintain our native Australian wildlife collection. Key responsibilities include daily food preparation, cleaning and all aspects of general animal husbandry and accurate record keeping.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Previous hands-on experience working with Australian wildlife
- Demonstrate well developed communication, teamwork and customer service skills
- Possess a high level of physical fitness to perform physically demanding work
Animal husbandry qualifications and/or progressive study towards a Certificate in Wildlife and Exhibited Animals would be well regarded. Experience with animal husbandry and handling coupled with a good general knowledge of Australian native fauna is required. A current manual driver’s license is also necessary.
Flexibility with working hours across a 7-day roster is essential as weekend work will be involved.
This is a physically demanding role that involves animal husbandry tasks and manual handling; therefore, a high level of energy and physical fitness is required to perform manual handling tasks and physically demanding work.
In addition to a fantastic range of in-park and in-venue benefits (free entries, discounts on purchases, free parking and more), we’ve partnered with Perkbox to give our team members access to hundreds of dollars of direct savings each year on their everyday purchases from some of Australia’s biggest retailers (everything from fashion, to tech, and even your weekly grocery shop!) in addition to a really exciting work environment where no two days are the same.
