Dreamworld Corroboree is one of the largest native wildlife parks in Southeast Queensland with 100’s of native animals including the second largest koala population.
The primary responsibility of a Wildlife Attendant is to care for and maintain our native Australian wildlife collection. Key responsibilities include daily food preparation, cleaning and all aspects of general animal husbandry and accurate record keeping.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Previous hands-on experience working with Australian wildlife
- Demonstrate well developed communication, teamwork and customer service skills
- Possess a high level of physical fitness to perform physically demanding work
Animal husbandry qualifications and/or progressive study towards a zoo keeping certificate would be well regarded. Experience with animal husbandry and handling coupled with a good general knowledge of Australian native fauna is required. A current manual driver’s license is also necessary.
Flexibility with working hours across a 7-day roster is essential as weekend work will be involved.
This is a physically demanding role that involves animal husbandry tasks and manual handling, therefore a high level of energy and physical fitness is required to perform manual handling tasks and physically demanding work.
