Wintel Systems Engineer

We are currently searching for a Wintel Engineer for a 12 month initial contract.  This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days to be worked in the office located in Central Brisbane.

In the role you will be carrying out operational support and working on projects.

• Ensure the security of client information and data assets through the implementation of information security processes and systems.
• Provide an escalation point for back-end server-client applications as required.
• Minimise system outages by guiding the MSP and other technical specialists on troubleshooting problems as required.
• Evaluate current operational processes and documentation, identify areas for improvement, make recommendations, and guide the implementation of approved enhancements.
• Actively support change management process, ensuring behaviours support the team in delivering outcomes aligned to business needs. 
• Provide a conduit for escalations to the MSP or management as required, providing proactive feedback to improve service delivered through the MSP.
• Provide high level recommendations and input for systems such as Microsoft Exchange, AD, SSO, GPO, backups and recovery, storage and virtualisation, to ensure support and changes delivered by the MSP are well executed and managed.
• Project work as required.
