Form of workE2E Communications is seek qualified Wireless Rigger to work on NBN and Telstra Projects in QLD and Northern NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work at heights on mobile phone base station structures to install antenna’s, feeders and ancillary equipment
- Installation of antenna mounts on rooftops, poles and towers using ropes, winches and rigging equipment
- Work with cranes, cherry pickers and EWPs as required to carry out works on site
- Carry out manual labour of various descriptions to complete the works as required
- Carry out rigging techniques to install steelwork on structures, including the requirement to climb Monopoles, towers and guyed masts with 100% attachment at all times
- Installation of a range of feeder RF cables and hybrid.
- Terminate communication cables of various types and sizes, assist with testing cables for compliance with specifications
- Installation of earth kits and waterproofing of connectors
- Installation of earth systems
- Labelling and tagging identification on feeders and tails
- Installation of Hybrid fibre cable for RRU equipment
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, tidy and accessible state at all times
Expectations:
- You will show demonstrated experience within the Telco - Wireless industry, backed up with an understanding of rigging practices required in this field
- Basic Riggers Ticket mandatory
- Valid Elevated Work Platform Ticket and Safe Work at Heights qualifications
- Previous experience working as part of a rigging crew on any of the Optus, NBN or Telstra or Wireless projects would be desirable.
- Installations of Ericsson Radio Telecommunications Equipment
- Solid understanding and experience doing RF plumbing in modern and complex RAN roll out.

- Ability to prepare acceptance artefacts
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Construction industry white card
- RF Hazard Awareness Training
- Flexibility in working hours and able to work away for 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
