AddressWood Worker Wanted!
We are seeking a new team member who has previous experience or enjoys working in the fields of woodwork, carpentry, cabinet making, patternmaking, furniture restoration, home renovations, or boat building. A dynamic position is available building wooden drape moulds within our EGR’s acrylics product development team.
The role will ideally suit someone who is interested in a similar line of work to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. The successful applicant will enjoy a great variety or work, above award wages and long-term job security.
About the Role:
- Create the moulds for 4WD and Automotive accessories
- Work with basic wood working tools and machinery
- Work with timber/ plastic/ Acrylic sheets/ fiberglass/ rubber/ aluminium/ plywood/ MDF/ polyester fillers /metals etc.
- Read drawings and specifications to ascertain materials required, cutting these materials and preparing layouts
- Cut, shape and assemble materials
- Learn how to sand and shape fillers
- Will develop you a keen eye for all panel shape lines
About you:
- Previous interest from wood working (even if at school);
- Ability to use basic tools and power tools (desirable but not essential);
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent communication to assist problem-solving; and
- Must be able to work as part of a team within a fast paced environment.
