We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Wood Room Operator to join our Commodity Manufacturing team. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining our Wood Room machinery. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.
Wondering what a typical day at Prima PMI looks like? Here's a glimpse:
- Operate and maintain Wood Room machinery, including saws, V-Nailers and nail guns.
- Ensure proper sizing, cutting, and shaping of wooden materials according to specifications.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to achieve desired results.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain production schedules and tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, production output, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Wood Room Operator or similar role in the print/manufacturing industry
- Proficient knowledge of woodshop machinery and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
