About the role:
We are seeking an experienced permanent full time, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner (HSWBP) to join our team.
In this role you will be delivering professional advice and expertise in Workplace Health and Safety across Anglicare. You will be Implementing best practice in WHS systems, processes and providing coaching and leadership in Work Health and Safety (WHS) to relevant stakeholders. You will be working with managers and staff to drive safety awareness, continuous improvement of safety performance and development of a safety culture. Implementing and enforcing safety standards, policies, and regulations and reporting against compliance.
As a HSW Business Partner, Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provide guidance on hazard and incident reporting and collaborate with managers and staff to review hazards, incidents and near misses to identify actions, reduce safety risks and support managers to implement actions that improve safety outcomes.
- Develop a schedule of WHS audits, inspections, and observations and work with managers to develop plans to mitigate/eliminate risks and work with the High-Risk Safety Co-ordinator to review action management process.
- Work in line with Anglicare’s WHSSMS safety framework and collaborate with the Safety System Assurance Co-ordinator on HSW projects to support the business unit implement activities that enhance the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff.
- Monitor changes in WHS legislation and industry best practice and ensure that these changes have been communicated to managers and staff for action.
- Review and monitor safety inductions and emergency management on site as well as first and warden training.
- Train staff on SafetyFirst online reporting systems to meet business needs and improve incident and hazards reporting and closure.
- Train and support staff and managers in the reporting of injuries and work as ensuring the injured worker and manager are referred immediately to the Injury Management Co-ordinator.
- Provide guidance, advice and support to managers in regard to the provision of their WHS responsibilities and the achievement of Anglicare’s corporate safety objectives.
- Build effective relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to support the delivery of WHS projects.
About You:
- 5 years’ experience in a HSW BP role including leading audits, planning WHS projects and systems to enable implementation of effective management of WHS risks
- Tertiary qualifications in Work health and safety (WHS) or related field including ICAM or equivalent Incident Management Training Qualification
- Experience across ISO45001, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001 advantageous
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislative requirements and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of Microsoft Office 365 computer literacy and use of WHS systems eg. SafetyFirst/Solve/ Injury Net or similar and maintaining data accuracy
- Valid NSW, Driver's Licence
