The Work Integrated Learning team supports the development of Faculty initiatives to support and strengthen student engagement programs in order to positively influence the student experience. This includes identifying, developing and implementing student development opportunities to enhance the student experience and ensure work-readiness. The Work Integrated Learning team is responsible for the placement and professional experience students complete as part of their course requirements.
The WIL Officer will coordinate a large scale of placement schedules and processes, and support the staff involved in the placement of Education students as the next point of triage. The WIL Officer will produce data analytics reports of students, schools, placements and offers to support the understanding of current and future operation needs. Central to this role will be a capacity to engage with and provide effective support of the pre-service teacher's students, as well as external stakeholders when needed.
Accountabilities:

- Work closely with the Senior WIL Officer- Education to plan and schedule the yearly operation, milestones analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate from end to end the WIL Education placement schedules and ensure key processes milestones and governance requirements are met on a timely manner.
- Provide support and advise students on placements as per NESA and Department of Education requirements.
- Maintain relationships with placement schools and act as an escalation point for any placement enquiries ensuring accreditation standards are met.
- Arrange and coordinate from end to end the allocation of liaison officers for all placements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of required placement material ensuring content is up-to-date and in line with Department of Education and NESA accreditation requirements.
- Produce ongoing accurate data reports for each placement cohort to support the understanding of current and future operational needs.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the field of Education or Teaching with relevant experience and/or a combination of education, training or experience.
- Experience working within the NSW school sector or tertiary education sector with specialist knowledge of pre-service teacher education, or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience gained through another school sector within Australia.
- Substantial experience in relationship management with proven success in providing a positive support to external and internal stakeholders with a key focus on long-term relationships development and highlevel stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including project management, setting priorities, and driving core operational outcomes in a complex fast-paced environment.
- Advance level proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, and specifically in excel, CRM and with the ability to learn and promote the use of new systems.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
