The Opportunity
Reporting to the VET/Pathways Coordinator (Caboolture), the Work Placement Officer/Vocational Trainer will facilitate all aspects of leading the training and development of students in line with the College’s Mission Statement, Vision and Strategic Plan.
Position type: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time 30 hours fortnightly. Potential of Work Placements visits in non-Term time.
Commencing: 13 May 2024
About you
This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:
- Demonstrated ability to train Year 11 and 12 students
- Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a personal computer and relevant software packages eg Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated training competence to achieve quality learning outcomes for all student
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community
- Restorative Practices experiences, an advantage
- VET audits, planning and assessment, an advantage
- Open license
- Use of own vehicle
Qualifications, Certifications and Work-related Experience:
- Accredited teacher/trainer with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) including LLN units
- FSK20119 and industry currency
- Working with Children accreditation (Blue Card) or ability to obtain this accreditation.
- Preferred Construction White Card
- Preferred Qualifications and/or experience related to the Vocational Education and Training pathways
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues in Vocational Education and Training pathways
- Awareness of National Qualification Framework imperatives.
