Western Australian mining Top 1 company, with multiple operations throughout the state. Leader in sustainable production, they manage the entire process, from mining the raw material to refining and smelting.
Your new role
Your duties will include:
- Ensure that claims are processed in a timely and confidential manner and in accordance with state legislation, Workcover and the company’s Self-insurance requirements.
- Engage with management, union, and employees to provide guidance across all relevant working bodies through departmental activities and meetings.
- Manage claims to resolution as well as ensure fair and objective claim decisions. This involves determining liability through investigation and negotiating settlements.
- Develop and maintain a proactive approach to minimising costs.
- Assist in preparation and presentation of education packages on all aspects of Workers' Compensation as requested by the Workers’ Compensation Lead.
What you'll need to succeed
As the Workers’ Compensation Consultant, you will need the following experience and qualifications to successfully perform the duties:
- Working knowledge and previous experience of Workers' Compensation legislation and claims management.- Experience of attending conciliation proceedings is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills are a must-have.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable, however not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure confidentiality and use judgement as well as ability to work with people in a respectful and empathetic manner.

- Advantageous remuneration of $70/H, paid weekly.- 6-month contract based on a 3 day/week assignment.
