Job description

The Role

Under general direction from the Workforce Development Manager, working both individually and as a member of the team, the Workforce Development Officer has a high level of autonomy in the planning and delivery of strategic and operational learning and development activities and initiatives, including administration of the programs, system administration and secretariat functions. 

The role requires sound judgement, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Innovation, creativity and a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities are foundational to succeeding in the role. While focused on Learning and Development activities, opportunities to further develop human resources expertise will be provided as required to support capability development and contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Under direction, managing moderately complex projects that support capability development, business improvements and initiatives to achieve Memorial objectives.
  • Coordination of Memorial programs and initiatives including quarterly Corporate Inductions, Rewards and Recognition, individual learning and development requests (Studybank) and the annual the Health and Wellbeing program
  • Planning and management of the logistical components of learning and development solutions and programs including procurement, communication and facilitating service providers. 
  • Building and sustaining positive relationships with stakeholders and networks including liaising with stakeholders on operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. 
  • Administration of people systems including the Learning Management System (Learnhub) and the performance management program.
  • Coordination and analysis of people related metrics and creation of reporting to inform HR initiatives and opportunities using reporting platforms (for example, PowerBI).
  • Provision of administrative support to achieve the objectives of the organisation including secretariat for organisational committees, and communications and reporting for programs and initiatives.
