The Opportunity

As An exciting opportunity has become available for a Workplace Concierge Leader to join the Workplace and Facilites team at Transgrid.

The Workplace Concierge Leader is accountable for managing a small but busy workplace services team in Transgrid’s head office and creating seamless experiences for our visitors and people. Responsible for the hands-on provision of effective office services, this role oversees daily front-of-house and workplace experience and collaborates with employees, communicating with management as required. The role is always varied and working with others to ensure the smooth running of the office and front-of-house on a day-to-day-basis.

As Workplace Concierge Leader you will:

  • Take responsibility for creating a welcoming environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Manage front of house offerings, including; Reception, Stakeholder meeting and event support, FOH meeting room set ups and clean ups, luggage storage, mail/couriers, executive kitchen, Board and Exec meeting support (including coffee runs) etc.
  • Provide administrative support to all Transgrid business groups, ensuring a high quality, timely front of house service
  • Manage the distribution of mail services both internal and external including couriers and collections.
  • Issue and maintain the security keys and cards system.
  • Provide quality administrative services with a commitment to excellence in line with Transgrid’s Health & Safety Policy.
  • Manage and lead a team of part-time reception staff
  • Manage Rosters and back fill for the Ultimo front of house team

Skills & Experience 

  • Friendly, exceptional customer service abilities with the ability to interface with all levels of personnel, visitors, and vendors/contractors.
  • Motivated, proactive, practical, can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills. Must have the ability to determine work timelines and schedules to complete tasks and projects assigned, with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work and learn new technology, including the use of Microsoft office 365.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be flexible.
  • Experience in an office environment or hospitality front of house role is required.
  • Solid demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Team player, willing to undertake any activity required to support the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills in such areas as the MS Office suite of applications. Strong abilities in Excel, PowerPoint, and word.
  • Administration experience programming access cards, spreadsheets and word documents preparing reports
