The Company

AusHealth Work, a division of The AusHealth Hospital Research Fund (AusHealth), has been a national workplace safety and wellbeing leader since 1985 and specialises in providing Drug and Alcohol testing services. We are currently seeking to expand our Collector network to work with AusHealth clients based in the Queensland region. Our clients engage AusHealth to conduct workplace testing for the presence of drugs and Alcohol through planned testing events as well as unplanned testing, following work incidents.

The Opportunity

As one of our valued Collectors, your work will involve:

• Performing Workplace Drugs of abuse testing for breath alcohol, oral fluid, urine and/or hair

• Maintaining the chain of custody of specimens and accurate records of all on-site visits.

• Organising the transportation of specimens to laboratories after collection as required

As a casual specimen Collector, your working hours will fluctuate in line with our client needs and as such, there is no guarantee of regular and consistent hours.

You will need to be generally available 24/7 due to the nature of our work – this includes being available at short notice for incident response. Possession of a smartphone, current driver’s license and reliable vehicle is essential. Whilst not mandatory for all clients, a high number of our clients require staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Evidence will be required of this for specific clients.

Experience and training in the health sector, handling biological specimens and/or workplace safety will be highly regarded. You must be legally entitled to live and work in Australia and preferably be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
