In this role, you'll:
Coordinate the implementation, improvement, and assurance of Statewide Maintenance and Delivery quality management systems. In this diverse role, you will have the opportunity to work in the asphalt, tunnel, fleet, ferry, line marking and traffic facility-based lines of the business.
The Works Assistant Grade 3 (PQR) Project Quality Representative will be responsible for:
• Working under limited supervision either in a team environment or working independently, performing a wide range of advanced non-trades functions which have been acquired through experience or formal training to specified standards and tolerances.
• Completing work activities to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work including completing relevant reports.
• Solving routine issues that arise and collaborating with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
• Understanding and maintaining knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, records management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.
This is an ongoing full-time role located in the North Region (options include Ballina or Grafton), however, TfNSW is committed to hybrid ways of working therefore consideration will be given to providing flexible working arrangements for the successful candidate.

About you
You are passionate about safety and quality assurance, have an understanding of work procedures and guidelines and possess an attention to detail that is dedicated to the success of our final product.
You have proven experience working independently and collaboratively with others. You’re a strong communicator and influential team player, working closely with a range of stakeholders to inspire direction, develop skills and competencies across the business and drive change and overcome challenges.
Key to your success in this role is your ability to think outside the box and positively influence a range of multidisciplinary audiences to achieve positive outcomes.
You are a self-starter and are able to plan and organise your work in a high-volume area and complete a variety of tasks including checking safety and quality and entering information into systems and undertaking a range of other administrative processes in order to support maintenance objectives.
The successful candidate will have the relevant trade background and possess Construction Industry Certification (White Card) and Traffic Controllers Tickets (Blue and Yellow Tickets).
As this role supports a variety of work in regional NSW travel will be required. You will therefore be required to work outside normal working hours and travel to various regional and remote work locations.
