The Senior Project Officer, Quality and Improvement provides expert advice, formulates strategic and innovative solutions, and oversees the development, review and evaluation of improvement initiatives, frameworks, and risk management activities, to enhance the achievement of the Councils and HPCA objectives, functions, and strategic priorities.

What you'll be doing
Provide expert advice to assess the impact of current systems and processes, develop innovative solutions using a quality improvement approach, and lead changes within and across teams to improve the effectiveness of Councils and HPCA in meeting regulatory functions and strategic priorities.
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the quality improvement framework and program to drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, embed a culture of continuous improvement, and build capability.
Plan, manage and monitor quality assessments and Improvement and risk management activities, assigned to the Quality and Improvement Team to ensure ongoing business improvement and that identified outcomes are achieved and evaluated.
Support policy development, evaluation activities and initiatives to address current and emerging issues in health professional regulation; assess and advise on their relevance and their potential impact on Council and Government objectives.
Manage the engagement of external and affiliated organisations to support innovation and the development of quality improvement initiatives, managing risk and stakeholder expectations.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who have the following qualities:
- Experience in leading and supporting quality improvement activities
- Experience in leading projects and conducting evaluation activities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, project management, and time management skills.

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.
