The Role:

We have multiple contract and permanent roles available for qualified Electricians/experienced Panel Builders to join our team in our Direk workshop. Reporting to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor, you will be involved in the construction of electrical infrastructure for substation and renewables projects.

This role will predominantly be based Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:00PM at our Direk workshop, and some additional overtime will be required as necessary.

What you will need:

  • Knowledge and experience in heavy industrial electrical construction, including installation of High Voltage equipment and systems
  • Knowledge and experience in construction of substations and/or renewable projects will be highly advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Current SA Electrical Trade Certificate or Current SA Electrical worker registration
  • Current South Australian Drivers Licence
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings
  • Assembly, fit-out and wiring of power distribution systems & switchboards
  • Assembly, fit-out and wiring of control systems panels
  • Custom and Modular Enclosure systems assembly
  • Copper bus bar power distribution

Desirable:

  • High Voltage Switching Operator Accreditation (Cat 20 & Cat 2) not required
  • High risk EWP and Forklift licenses
  • Working at heights qualification
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualification
  • Current construction industry white card
  • Previous experience is a plus but not essential
  • Must be a qualified and licensed electrician
  • At least two years of electrical work experience
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Organisational skills with a high standard of work are essential
