Bunbury Industrial Controls is seeking a Workshop Electrician.
Located in the Southwest, we are an industrial automation company servicing heavy industry predominately throughout Western Australia.
We are seeking a permanent full-time Electrical Instrumentation Tradesperson with post-trade experience within the industrial maintenance industry that is looking to learn and grow.
The position would best suit a tradesperson interested in a career that involves the development of their technical skills and knowledge.
This role is suited to someone who values the convenience of going home every night, leaving behind the stress of long commutes, and working away.
Responsible for Electrical Workshop functions:
Assembling, maintaining, repairing, and performing fault-finding diagnosis and calibration on plant process equipment which includes but not limited to:
- Process plant electrical and instrument equipment
- Customer technical support and repairs
- Manufacturing electrical control panels and associated automation equipment
- Set-up and calibration of customer drive systems, automation equipment and instrumentation
- Workshop and Apprentice Supervision
Qualifications:
- Electrical license
- Driver’s license
- High Risk tickets for EWP or Forklift - advantageous
- Post Trade qualifications -advantageous
Experience and Skills:
- Have electrical / instrumentation experience
- Understanding of process instrumentation
- Experience in the heavy industrial or mining industry
Personal Skills:
- Self-motivated with a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and self-learning
- Knowledge-driven with a desire to succeed
- Excellent communicator
- Reliable, flexible, dependable with sound work ethic
Candidates that are dual traded with Electrical and Instrumentation certification and reside in the South West of Western Australia will be highly regarded.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the candidate based on suitability and experience, with an initial 3-month probational period, to be evaluated based on performance and suitability.
