Today K&R is recognised locally and nationally as a progressive, locally owned, and managed fabricator and installer of structural steelwork, and a major provider of maintenance services to a diverse industrial customer base.

As a result of our success and growth, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Workshop Fabrication Estimator to join our team to develop and manage structural work estimates for our diverse client base.
Beyond a strong commitment to safety and being experienced in the safe systems of work in heavy industry, the successful candidates will be required to:
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service
- Build lasting relationships with our broad customer base
- Integrate with, and provide support to our Workshop Fabrication team
- Review documentation to determine scope and suitability of work
- Preparation of estimates for large and small fabrication assemblies
- Providing accurate costings for materials, labour, and external services
- Monitor and review any revisions and apply necessary variations
- Follow up quotes on a weekly basis
- Working in collaboration with our workshop and site teams
- Establish and enhance relationships with our customer base.
- Identify and ensure all quality controls are in place and accounted for in the fabrication process
ABOUT YOU
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with people on all levels verbally and by email
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- 10yrs+ experience in the heavy metal fabrication industry
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidence with numbers
- Previous estimating experience will be viewed favorably
