Vac Truck Industries (VTI) is an Australian-owned OEM manufacturer, providing complete vacuum truck solutions to the civil construction, electrical, infrastructure, mining, drilling, oil, and gas industries of Australia. Our specialised range of equipment includes hydro excavation vacuum systems (vac trucks), high-pressure hydro drain cleaning jetter systems and liquid waste collection systems (sucker trucks) all available in a broad range of volume sizes and power capacities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
VTI is currently seeking a mechanically minded individual experienced in the assembly of mechanical and fixed components and service / repair. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of innovative vacuum truck technologies. You will be required to meet productivity and technical requirements and possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with our team to achieve overall business outcomes.
Your position will entail a wide variety and range of duties including:
- The assembly of engineered, hydraulic and water components for vacuum truck systems
- Assembly and fit-out of toolbox, trays and other vacuum truck accessories and components
- To ensure all vacuum truck components and accessories are in line with OEM and Australian rules and regulations
- Testing or assisting in the testing and operation of all completed vacuum trucks, including quality inspections and audits.
- Service / Repair of vacuum units, hydraulics and components.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be considered you will ideally have a trade qualification, as well as on-the-job experience working on light or heavy vehicles, earthmoving or construction equipment.
Hydraulic skills will be highly regarded, or you are willing to learn and develop these skills.
A high level of attention to detail in all aspects of workmanship is vital.
You will possess strong communication skills, safety-focused, be self-motivated, work well within a team, have a positive attitude and desire to learn and develop with a progressive industry leader.
A current driver’s license is required. HR license or Forklift ticket is highly regarded.
Regular overtime is available to ensure customer and business needs are met.
