Form of workWe have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and energetic leader to join Huon’s Marine Operations in the role of Regional Workshop Manager, leading a hardworking team at our Storm Bay site.
The role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for a multi-skilled team to deliver efficient routine maintenance across the region, ensuring high quality services in a timely manner. A focus on continuous process improvement will see you be successful in this role.
You will:
- Provide strong leadership and coaching to your team to deliver operational requirements with a strong focus on preventative maintenance.
- Build robust relationships with stakeholders, communicating in a clear and proactive manner to gain agreement and commitment to work towards common goals.
- Be responsible for the budgeting and expenditure of workshop equipment required, being proactive and planning ahead of time to meet operational requirements.
About you
- You have broad experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- You have experience in the maintenance and repairs field with sound understanding of maintenance systems.
- Your experience allows you to problem solve and make confident, timely, and accurate decisions.
- You’re a natural communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- You influence, coach, and manage people effectively, allowing your people the best opportunity to meet business requirements, and embrace change as an opportunity to enhance the employee experience.
