The Tasks:

You will be sent an email with a pre-populated template (In Word format) containing a series of headings that relate to a nationally recognised unit of competency at Certificate II, III, IV or Diploma level. Your job is to write content to explain each heading on the template. Headings are either a knowledge requirement or a performance requirement. The content that you write will provide the student with sufficient information to answer the questions (knowledge) or demonstrate the skill (performance). It’s less complex than it sounds, and training will be provided.

How it works:

Your details will be added to our pool of writers for the topic/s in which you specialise. When a job comes in, you will be contacted via email with the job (See ‘The Tasks’ above), the budget and deadline. You can then choose to accept it or reject the job. If you no longer want to be part of the pool, just ask and we’ll remove your details.

Payment is made either by direct bank transfer or PayPal (Your choice) immediately on successful completion of each project and receipt of an invoice.

Rights: You must have the right to work in Australia.

The Skills You Need:

Knowledge. You must be enrolled in a degree level qualification (or above) in the topics listed above. You will be required to present evidence of your enrolment. You must have commenced this course of study and preferably be in at least your second year of study.

Computer Literacy. You must be able to produce professionally formatted content and be proficient in the use of MS Word.

Attention to Detail. The work produced must be proof read and returned in a finished state. Therefore, accurate spelling and grammar are essential. You must also be able to interpret the requirements of the headings in the template and ensure that your content meets each part. We will provide training in this area, but the onus will be on you to check, check and triple check your work before returning it to us.

Effort and Quality. We expect you to put maximum effort into producing work of a high quality that showcases your understanding of the topic and provides the student with clear, concise and accurate information to enable them to understand the topic, the knowledge and skill competency requirements and how to achieve them.

The Conditions:

This is an ad-hoc and casual position. There is no promise of a full time role or set number of work hours. You will be entering a pool of writers and will only be contacted if a suitable job comes in that matches your topic preferences. You will be paid as a casual worker and will be required to submit an invoice. This can be a simple email or Word document as long as it meets the requirements of an invoice.

How to apply:

All we need is a cover letter. The cover letter must state:

  • Your name
  • The course you are currently studying
  • The topic/s that you want to be added to the pool for. E.g. Real Estate, Mining, Nursing etc.
  • A link to the prospectus or details of the course you are unrolled in
  • The university/college at which you are studying
  • Your current study year. E.g. 2 of 3, or 3 of 4.
  • An email address to which we can send the job offers.
  • Evidence of enrolment. We’ll leave the choice of evidence up to you.
