SalaryWorkfast is looking for Experienced Yard Hands / Trade Assistants to join their team in a warehouse in Derrimut VIC.

- $38.00 per hour + Penalties + Super

Candidates must have 1-2 years experience as a Yard Hand and have experience working in a warehouse, be reliable, hardworking and physically fit. Attention to detail, effective communication and the ability to be on one's feet all day is essential to success in this role. This job is an ongoing casual position with full-time hours for the right candidates. Candidates must be willing to carry out trade assistant work for tradespeople when required.

The numbers
- $38.00 per hour plus penalties and superannuation
- $15 meal allowance after 9.5 hours worked
What you need
- Warehouse experience
- Physically fit for manual handling work when required
- Very strong attention to detail
- Happy to be on your feet all day
- Ability to obtain a current police check
- Looking for long term work
- Own transport/ability to get to work
- Willing to work hard and have a 'can do' attitude
What you will be doing
- Perform safe loading and unloading of plant and equipment exiting and returning to the yard
- Conduct general housekeeping of the yard facilities in accordance with company standards
- Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace
- Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and litter management.
- Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing, safety, delivery and purchasing paperwork is completed in full.
- T/A work for tradesman when and as needed.
- Responsible for spare parts & stock takes.
- Driving to pick up parts from suppliers or delivering parts or equipment to sites.
