Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Yard Person to join our team. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in site logistics and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our yard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Safe and efficient forklift operation.
- Assisting in ensuring timely dispatch of products.
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Preparing and labelling items for transport and dispatching.
- Liaising with transport contractors and dispatching products.
- Keeping the yard area clean and organized.
- Assisting with inventory management and product knowledge.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Supporting fabricators on site.
- Working collaboratively with a team dedicated to excellence.
- Basic administration relevant to transport and logistics.
Key Details:
- Permanent – Full-time
- Immediate start - negotiable
- Negotiable rates ($30 -$40 per hour)
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence
- Physical fitness and ability to move heavy objects.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be personable and representing the company vision.
- Eagerness to learn the technical elements of our products.
- Attention to detail.
- Sound computer skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Site health and safety knowledge and experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Welding and fabricating experience also a plus.
- Truck / truck licence a plus
