Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.

About the role
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the day to day operation of a busy yard to ensure all aspects run efficiently, with a high focus on safety and effectiveness. This role is central to ensuring project milestones are met, so experience running large construction yards or similar is essential. This role will mostly be split between 30% Yard work - 70% Office work. This would suit someone seeking a FIFO role, alternatively a local resident of the Riverina area.
Your focus will include:
- Safely co-ordinate day to day logistics, yard, laydown and customer relationships
- Manage and supervise yard team members
- Working closely with OHTL supervisors and Substation supervisors to ensure plant, equipment and received materials are available to suit programmed works and meet necessary specifications
- Working with Material Controls team to ensure accurate stock control
- Ensure daily prestart's and post operational checks are conducted
- Monitor controls for material stacking, storage, loading and unloading to promote safety and efficiency in the yard
- Ensure high standards in WHS are promoted and enforced
What you will bring to the team:
- 3-5 years Yard/Logistics work experience
- Understanding of safety processes and laydown experience
- Current driver's license and white card is essential
- Current LF Forklift license, Rigging, Dogging and Telehander licenses is highly desirable
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- Ability to manager over 40 - 50 various yard personnel at one time
