St Paul’s Anglican Church is located just north of Camden in the beautiful village of Cobbitty. Founded in 1827, the parish has four historic buildings and a long history of gospel ministry. With the influx of people to the region, the church has grown steadily over the last 20 years. It is slowly transitioning from a small village church into a mid-size suburban one. We currently run three regular services:
9am Sunday. A traditional Anglican Prayer Book service with hymns played on the organ and a small choir. This service attracts 50-60 adults each week, 2/3 of whom are seniors.
5pm Sunday. A contemporary service with a band and accompanying children’s program. This service attracts around 40 adults and 20 teens/kids each week.
10:30am Thursday (monthly). A short informal service of Holy Communion in the church hall followed by morning tea. This service typically attracts 25-30 seniors.
Our long-serving Youth and Children’s Minister, Rev. Leah Dyason, is finishing up in early 2024. Thanks to her exceptional ministry over the last 9 years, the parish has a healthy children’s and youth ministry which would be the primary focus of this new role.
