We are seeking a talented person to join the team in the position of Youth Development Coach (YDC). You will be part of a wider team of YDC’s who engage, mentor, provide practical employment guidance, and support individual career development to clients participating in programs delivered by the organisation.
Currently, this is a full time position on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025; if funding for the program is extended, it will become a permanent position.
Ideally, we are looking for a person with some or all of the following attributes:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Youth Work/Community Services/Disability (desirable) or willingness to undertake
- Understanding of youth employment services
- Confident, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest and/or good understanding of IT (desirable)
- Empathetic nature
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications
The type of person we are looking for may well have experience in a similar role with an Employment Service provider, Disability Employment Service or youth specialist organisation. Most importantly though, it will be your ability to share our passion for helping young people reach their potential in a consultative and respectful way, that will see you succeed as a YDC.
