The Positions:The CRAICCHS after hours Youth Hub provides a safe, supportive and healthy after-hours drop-in space for youth aged between 10 and 18.
The project is a community development programme to reduce isolation and improve the ability to overcome the trauma induced by recent Community events, experiences and the grief resulting from suicides.
The Casual Youth Hub Assistants will report to the Youth Hub Supervisor and will assist with the delivery of youth programmes while providing supportive care and a safe place for the youth who attend.
The positions will be based in Cherbourg.

Cherbourg Regional Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Service (CRAICCHS) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Organisation.
CRAICCHS objective is to provide increased access to quality primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services to the Communities in the South Burnett regions.
Key Requirements:
Applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- A strong Cherbourg Community connection and cultural knowledge.
- A passion to make a difference for the youth in the Cherbourg Community.
- The ability to communicate with youth and parents with understanding and empathy.
- A high sense of personal responsibility with the ability and drive to reliably attend rostered shifts.
- Flexibility in the delivery of hours to meet the demands of an after-hours service that will include afternoon and evening shifts up to 7.00 PM (or later depending on demands).
- The willingness to learn, follow directions and assist with all duties to support the young attendees including the preparation of meals and cleaning.
- Current Qld Blue Card.
- Minimum double covid vaccination certificate.
- Qualifications in Youth Work or similar relevant fields.
- Experience in delivering youth programmes.
- Experience working with vulnerable youth.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates.
- Food handing certificate / experience.
