\* Experience as a lead educator in the childcare centre and sole charge as a private nanny.
Our professional and busy Leichardt-based family is searching for an experienced nanny who is respecting cultural differences. A nanny who is reliable, attentive, engaged, and present with both children. Their ideal nanny would be passionate about caring for children and enjoys what they do. Creativity will be valued. A nanny who will provide their children with high-quality care and fun educational activities. It is essential that the nanny possess strong experience working with children of a similar age.
Upon arriving, the nanny will help the eldest get ready for school. The nanny will then focus their care on the youngest such as attending swimming lessons, going to a local park, attending local classes and events, going to the library, and doing some art and baking. High-quality engagements and age-appropriate activities are essential.
In the afternoons, the eldest comes back from school and the nanny will be required to prepare afternoon snacks and cook light meals for the children. Assisting the eldest with homework or planning fun educational activities with both children. Assisting the younger child with the bath.
The nanny will also assist with light household duties such as cleaning up after activities and packing away toys with children.
The successful nanny will be provided with a beautiful and warm home environment, open communication, trust, and a long-term stable arrangement.
Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Planning fun educational activities with child/ren
- Preparing snacks and cooking light meals for the children
- Remind the elder child to complete homework or plan fun screen-free activities for both children
- Building a strong relationship with the children
- Assist the younger child with the bath
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- All household duties will be child-related
- School pick-up if mum is busy
- Maintaining all aspects of the care routine for the children
To apply, you MUST have the following experience, attitude, and qualifications:
- A non-smoker
- Willing to support a work-from-home mum
- Respectful and treats people with kindness, especially people from all cultures, and thrives in multicultural environments.
- A minimum of 5+ years experience working with children
- A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Excellent communication skills
