The Role:
We are currently seeking a new entrant apprentice who would like the opportunity to start a career in metal fabrication, working on a diverse range of projects with a reputable and supportive local employer. The successful applicant will be working with experienced tradesmen both in the workshop and on site.
Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Use hand and power tools
- Perform rolling and curving of Sheet Metal
- Use MIG welding
- Interpreting drawings and diagrams
- Repair, replace and modify fabrications
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- General workshop housekeeping
- Assist Tradesmen where instructed
Skills & Experience:
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative
- Excellent work ethic, reliable and punctual
- Have good verbal communication and problem-solving abilities
- Drivers Licence and own transport
- At least two contactable references
