JOB 1: Purchasing Advisor
Our Nationally renowned client is seeking a superstar Purchasing Advisor to join their team in Muchea for a 6-month assignment.
Start: ASAP Location: Muchea - Approx 45 Mins North of Perth CBD Length: 6-month assignment Hours: Full time - Mon - Fri (38 hours per week) - or can select to do a 9-day fortnight
Drive in and Drive out on daily basis Pay Rate: Approx $40-50p/h + Super
The Role
As the Purchasing Advisor you will ensure the procurement complies with the Site's, safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards to ensure our continued ability to deliver product to our customers.
Responsibilities include:
Negotiation of lowest cost materials
Building strategic relationships with suppliers
Support for local supply chain lead and teams
Leading the analysis of and evaluation of quotes to determine optimum value
Reviews purchase requisitions and creates purchase order
Identifies potential suppliers and develops, reviews, and issues requests for quotations
Managing and expediting material orders
Assisting with Logistic requirement of the business
Administrative support where required
The Person:
Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
Excellent written and oral communication
Excellent people skills and ability to work with internal customers
Well developed numeric ability organisational skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of inventory and maintenance requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Working SAP knowledge (preferred)
Experience building procurement strategies (preferred)
Procurement or Supply Chain qualification (preferred)
JOB 2: Purchasing Officer
We are partnering with our client, a leading Construction engineering company who is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their Canning Vale team. This role will be a 3-month assignment, offering full time hours and an immediate start.
Start: ASAP Location: Canning Vale Length: 3-month assignment Hours: Full time - Mon - Fri (38 hours per week) Pay Rate: $45p/h + Super
The Role:
Raise purchase orders and manage procurement records through an internal procurement system
Onboard new vendors or suppliers onto the internal procurement system
Negotiate contract terms and pricing with external suppliers or vendors
Engage with external suppliers or vendors
Compare and evaluate supplier offers in conjunction with the organisation's Procurement Policy
Monitor stock levels and action reorder requirements to ensure stock levels are not exhausted
Review stock usage and make recommended changes to the manager
Purchase items in a cost effective and timely manner
Answer invoice queries as required
Action goods inward queries and rejections
Reconcile invoices through the internal procurement system
Frequently follow up outstanding orders, updating estimated delivery dates
Report any delays to delivery to the requisition owner
Coordinate logistics and storage of goods inwards
The Person:
Experience in supporting contract development, administration and/or project management activities.
Experience in using and maintaining a database.
Good interpersonal skills, with experience working with and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders.
