Job description:
2024 Barwon HealthPaediatric Outpatient Expansion Fellow/Registrar
- 1.3 FTE of Paediatric or GP Registrar Outpatients starting June 2024 - February 2025
- Clinics Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays
- Non-clinical work Tuesdays and Thursdays
About the Role
We are recruiting to 10 month positions (June 2024 to February 2025), or part thereof, suitable for either a Paediatric or General Practice Registrar who is already registered with APHRA.
Part-time fractions will be accommodated where possible and similarly.
You'll be part of a 20-strong junior paediatric team supported by an engaged consultant group.
Clinical duties primarily focussed within the General (all ages) Paediatric Outpatient Service based at the Early Parenting Centre (Mackellar Centre Precinct of Barwon Health in North Geelong), as part of a new commitment to invest in the expansion of existing general Paediatric Outpatient and community child health services to the Barwon region. There may also be opportunities for other paediatric clinics onsite at Barwon Health.
For GP registrars - we are happy to support any applications for accreditation.
For paediatric registrar this position could potentially be accredited for trainees in Victorian Paediatric Training as General Paediatrics (with a perinatal component), subject to capacity to integrate responsibilities within our acute paediatric inpatient service (24 bed general paediatric inpatient ward and 13 bed Level 5 Special Care Nursery, both based at University Hospital Geelong).
