About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Surgical Resident within the Division of Surgical Specialties and Anaesthetics.

The Surgical Resident Medical Officer is responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to the current department in consultation with the responsible Registrars, Consultants, Visiting Specialists, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.

> Involvement in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.

> Involvement in continuing education activities.

> Involvement in Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Management activities.

As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

To be eligible for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
