About the Role:
As the Resident Medical Officer, your duties may include:
Providing appropriate clinical care to patients, supervise interns and medical students
Assisting in assessment and management of surgical patients admitted via emergency department.
Ensuring effective communication with other care providers to promote continuity of patient care
Being rostered on-call anywhere between 3-5 on calls per month.
Participating in and be involved in a variety of elective and emergency surgical cases.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- To be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
- Completed an internship training or relevant medical training to commence as a Surgical RMO
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff.
