AddressTHE POSITION: A permanent full-time position (35 hours per week) is available within the City Delivery Group. The role of Professional Engineer is responsible for engineering projects.
ESSENTIAL: The successful candidate must have a Degree in Civil Engineering equivalent suitable for professional Membership of Engineer’s Australia, and have experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software(s) e.g., AutoCAD, Magnet,12d.
DESIRABLE: Relevant postgraduate studies and local government experience is desired but not essential.
Applicants must address the following selection criteria when applying:
- Preparation and review of engineering designs for traffic facilities, roads, carparks, footpaths, cycleways, stormwater drainage and other public infrastructure
- Provision of engineering advice and recommendations on technical matters to the Senior Civil Designer, Coordinators, Managers and other Divisions and Departments of the Fairfield City Council
- Undertaking infrastructure planning studies and undertaking infrastructure projects consistent with the goals of the team and the organisation
- New South Wales Drivers Licence Class 1C (Motor Car)
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 6, salary range is $89,415 p.a. with progression to $96,289 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $104,738 p.a. In addition to salary, Council pays 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance plus 11% Super
