A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.The RCH is committed to the .RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.For further Information on RCH is available .The Position:A 12 month position commencing Feb 2025 is available as an Advanced Trainee (Fellow) in the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. The position is a full time clinical position and will involve supervision of junior medical staff involved in the day to day management of patients receiving treatment under the Department's supervision, in particular those on the high dependency unit, as well as in-patients referred from other inpatient units. The successful candidate will participate in the depts on call fellow's roster in a 1 in 4 rotation as well as participating in the Division of Medicines' weekend clinical lead role at a 1 in 8 rotation. Candidates must be registered as an advanced trainee by the Royal Australian College of Physicians in general paediatrics, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine or another relevant speciality.
