As a 2IC / Preschool Room Leader, you'll lead a team of passionate educators dedicated to nurturing children's curiosity, empowering them to explore their interests, and preparing them for their transition into Kindergarten and lifelong learning.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
· Service / Room Operation Oversight: Take on a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Service and Preschool Room, with a focus on the well-being of both children and staff.
· Programming Development: Contribute to the creation of children's programming that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), ensuring it caters to individual needs and promotes overall development.
· Collaborative Approach: Work closely with staff and families to create and implement high-quality learning programs and environments, promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
· Guidance and Support: Provide a nurturing and encouraging environment for the team of Early Childhood Educators, helping them thrive and advance in their professions.
· Advocating for Frameworks: Encourage and facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the planning cycle, the EYLF, and the National Quality Framework within the organisation, fostering adherence to excellent practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications and Skills:
· A diploma or degree in early childhood education.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience with programming for children aged 0-5 years (Essential)
· Experience in leadership roles within an Early Childhood Setting
· Demonstrated working knowledge of the EYLF & NQS
· First aid certificate or willingness to undertake the training.
· Valid Working with Children’s Check
· Exceptional communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
