Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $50m+.
This role is for a project which will be based on site in the Fraser Coast area, the candidate will either live locally or DIDO (drive in, drive out). Roster will be 10 days on, 4 days off.
Candidate must have civil experience and ideally Bulk Earthworks experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working on tenders
- Planning and scheduling of construction activities
- Management of site project teams
- Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
- Preparation of management reports
- Resolving site issues in a timely manner
- Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating internal and external resources
- Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- 3 – 5+ years’ experience on civil projects, must have Bulk Earthworks experience
- Project management qualifications will be advantageous
- Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
- High level of organisation and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
