Magpies Nest Restaurant is a well-established restaurant and wedding venue on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga, NSW. Our focus is on all things regional with our ever-changing set priced dining and specials. The restaurant is set on 20 acres of wine grapes and olives for oil and pickling, just minutes from the CBD. Open Tuesday - Saturday for dinner, functions and wedding ceremonies and receptions.
About the role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic apprentice or chef to take on a role within our close knit kitchen team. This position is open to applicants already signed up as an apprentice in their second year or a fully qualified chef. The following attributes are desirable.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food health and safety handling
- Genuine interest in the restaurant industry with passion for creating beautiful food
- Own transport is a must as this role includes split shifts and evening work

Please keep in mind that this role will operate in shifts which may include late nights, weekends and holidays.
