MGC Solutions is a key provider of Infrastructure Services, delivering works in the Railway Signalling and Railway Communications sectors across Western Australia.
We are expanding and an opportunity has become available for 3rd or 4th YearElectrical Apprenticesto join our Installation Team Full Time in the Perth region, with regular overtime. These roles are ever changing and require works to be undertaken in the workshop/factory, on site in the metro area and at times on site in regional Western Australia.
Responsibilities of the role include;
Assembly, wiring and testing of modular commercial power distribution boards, group metering panels, control panels, junction boxes, bespoke panel wiring and building of low voltage control cases with PLC and relay-based logics.
- Undertake supervised within scope of competency for site electrical work on construction or rail projects as assigned.
- Factory pre-wiring activities in railway signalling location cases.
- Build a range of low voltage switchboards and other equipment from general arrangement and schematic drawings.
- Read schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Work with the engineering team to implement new designs into the system.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a current Electrician's training licence - Indentured apprentice.
- Valid WA C class driver’s licence
- Valid First Aid and CPR
- Construction White Card
- Permanent Residency / Australian Citizenship
- Complete a Pre-Employment Medical, including drug & alcohol testing
- Previous experience in switchboard manufacturing or installation (highly desirable)
- Must be motivated with personal administration such as completion of cards, willing to undertake initial training etc.

- Available immediately
- Pre-wiring experience
- Rail infrastructure exposure
- Rail Industry Workers Card
