Under limited direction, this position is responsible for delivering the following functions:
- Manage bookings for corporate hires and events. Liaise with clients to determine event and hire requirements including bookings, enquiries, facilitating site visits, invoicing, contracts and stakeholder management
- Actively promote the NFSA as a ‘venue for hire’ and build a network with the corporate event industry
- Co-ordinate event and hire logistics in collaboration with Technical Coordinator and Visitor Experience Coordinator. This includes staff resourcing, technical equipment requirements and scheduling
- Event management, develop event schedules and budgets, monitoring issues, monitoring events inbox and answering enquires
- Experience in risk analysis and management including the development of risk assessments to ensure safe delivery of corporate hires to WHS and Covid-safe standards
- Collaborate with the Visitor Experience Coordinator and VSO team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to align messaging and marketing materials.
- Key relationship manager for the Café and Bar operator including contract management, delivery of KPI’s, monitor issues and concerns
- Support the Program and Visitor Experience Team meet sustainability and climate action plan actions and objectives
- Support the delivery of public programs and events as required
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate their capacity against the following:
- Demonstrated experience in venue management and the delivery of events to a high professional standard.
- Proven experience in coordinating and motivating a small team, and the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with people, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ticketing and booking systems
- An understanding, interest and commitment to working with Australia’s audiovisual and material culture, including film, exhibitions and associated public programs.
- A demonstrated ability to apply practices and principles of Workplace Health and Safety and Workplace Diversity, and operate in a participative and consultative work environment.
