The role you could playWe are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander AOD Case Manager for The Sunrise Centre Homeless Program. You will engage, network and support our participants to access culturally appropriate pathways into and out of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Program.The Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander AOD Case Manager will actively represent, advocate and engage with the sector and the community to support the participants in the program and to promote the Alcohol Treatment program to ensure the delivery of culturally appropriate and safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Key responsibilitiesConduct case meetings weekly, group facilitation, provide advocacy, referrals, liaising with other services providers and stakeholders both verbally, face to face and via emailsSupport participants with appointmentsSupport the program manager/clinical coordinator and staff in developing their knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultureDevelop and review treatment plans with participantsUndertake intake and assessment with clients to develop a shared understanding of their situation and related problems and strengthsProvide opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to connect with their community, families, and cultureThis is a permanent part-time (26.6 hours per week) position, located in Berrimah, NT. This role operates Monday - Friday (work hours can be discussed).
