About the Role
We are incentivising Health Workers to move to Darling Downs Health, to take up a job in regional and remote Queensland. To find out if you are eligible, , payments commence 1 July 2023.
You will apply your cultural knowledge and advanced clinical skills to provide appropriate primary health care interventions to patients and families of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, helping to close the gap. You will understand the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and cultural issues, including the social determinants of health and develop strategies to support improved health outcomes. You will build meaningful and positive relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community while modelling the Darling Downs Health values.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
