About the Role
Support access to cardiac services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples/ communities through participating in culturally appropriate education, case management, quality improvement, direct assistance, and participation in community events & consultation mechanisms.

• Participate in organising and delivering health promotion, primary health care and secondary prevention endeavours for the cardiology department.
• Provision of advice and education to the department on how to ensure that services are provided in a culturally appropriate manner. Advocate for appropriate service delivery for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff and the community to facilitate an effective and efficient patient journey for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, families and/or carers.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.

2. A short-written response (maximum 1-2 pages, dot points acceptable) on how your experience, abilities, knowledge, and personal qualities would enable you to achieve the key attributes and responsibilities and meet the key skill requirements. 
3. Your current CV or resume, including two referees.
