Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service (KMHDS) are seeking an Aboriginal Mental Health Worker to join their team.

Eligibility to Apply: Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Aboriginal descent.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term and Casual appointment at various hours per fortnight. Fixed Term includes the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 01/09/2025.

Position Profile: The role provides cultural safety and a liaison service to Aboriginal people and non-Aboriginal employees within KMHDS. Enhances the accessibility of Mental Health services to Aboriginal people and Communities.

WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
